After playing college golf at Georgia State University, she turned professional and competed in the U.S. and Europe for four years. Rachael Kent Frias is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist born in Maui, Hawai’i. Her fascination with nutrition began once she understood the crucial link between one’s dietary patterns and maintaining both bodily and mental health. During her undergraduate education she was part of a team of researchers at the University of Hawai’i Maui College looking at the effects of food preservatives on the mouth microbiome. This research, which she has since been published for, sparked a deep interest in the nutritional effects on the microbiome, particularly as it relates to the gut. Her goal as a dietitian is to help others prevent, treat, and manage health ailments through nutrition, lifestyle, and gut balance. She believes in a plant-forward approach to nutrition and aims to assist her patients in finding their healthful way.
